I think my now-most-favourite episode.

Rimmer: "32" is a hilarious one liner, possibly a contender for
funniest short line ever.

Credits say Legion was played by "Nigel Williams" - granted it sounded
like a voiceover - Stephen Fry is who I believed it to be, no mention
though.

It was a voice over - by Nigel Williams. No way is it Stephen Fry
anyhow, but if you watch the deleted scenes on the DVD, it's the
original audio.

Was Nigel not in the costume then? I thought I heard something mentioned
about that. Or you mean he was in the costume, but then did a voice-over
for clarity, yes?

Yes, sorry, I didn't make it very clear. Like Jack/John Docherty as The
Inquisitor - amongst others with full face masks, no doubt - the
original audio is present, and usable, but it does sound a bit crap and
muffled. There's no lipsync issues to worry about, so it's exceptionally
easy just to record the lines again and dub them over, giving crystal
clear quality.

It's not a bad episode at all, though for me the funny food sequence goes on
a bit.

It's an episode I have a very soft spot. Back in the early 90s when I was
still discovering the show that was one of the few I had on tape. Watched it
a fair few times let me tell you.
